Understanding the National Mathematics Talent Contest conducted by AMTI
The National Mathematics Talent Contest (NMTC) is conducted by the Association of Mathematics Teachers of India (AMTI) to identify and nurture mathematical talent among school students.
NMTC is held in three levels - Primary (Classes III-V), Junior (Classes VI-VIII), and Sub-Junior (Classes IX-X). The contest aims to promote mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Classes III, IV, V - Foundation level problems
Classes VI, VII, VIII - Intermediate challenges
Classes IX, X - Advanced problem solving
Important: NMTC is conducted in two stages - Screening Test and Final Test. Only qualified students from screening proceed to finals.
